"I have to be honest. This driver needs to be stronger when being used with IPE posts. Even using the hardwood tap and wax the drivers break sometimes. Otherwise I love cable billet products."

Outdoor deck railing- Very Nice Quality!

"Excellent DIY project for someone with knowledge to be willing or able to drill and tap for bolts and access to a miter saw with an aluminum cutting blade. The available tool kits along with the online installation videos and included instructions made installation very clear. The parts and pieces available are very well made and the end result is beautiful. I was able to buy and install the system for less than half the cost a contractor bid for providing and installing a similar system. I recommend this with the caveat that you need to be patient and careful installing as well as reviewing the videos prior to purchasing so you know what is expected. Also, buy the necessary tool kits needed for installation. It is worth it to have the correct tools when you start. Drill bits and drivers of various lengths are necessary and not the same as one might have in a typical set."

"The upgrade of the cable railing is amazing. We had only one delay when the required installation bit broke, but cable bullet had a replacement to us free of charge in a week. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a sturdy, transparant railing. Our project replaced both our front and back deck railing. My husband did the installation in about 10-days - Wish we would have done this a couple years ago. Love it!"

Required Tool not included

"Why would This tool not be listed as a Required tool? You spend thousands of Dollars buying railing and tensioners, then wait 2+ weeks for your items to ship just to find out that the only way to install the tensioner is to use this $6 tool… cable bullet should just include it, as well as the super weird size(SAE) hex key… Over all very annoying."

does the cable rail tensioner work well, in a normal pressure treated 4x4?
Hi Steve! Yes! Our tensioners work wonderfully with pressure treated 4x4 posts. The threads on our tensioners are made to hold tightly against both soft and hardwoods (though hardwoods do require tapping). When installed properly, each cable run can hold 120-200 pounds of constant pressure and up to 3x that on impact before it will fail.
