Maintaining the beauty of your stainless steel or aluminum railings is simple! For routine cleaning, you only need a mild dish soap solution and a soft microfiber cloth. Wipe down the railings to remove dust, dirt, and fingerprints. For tougher grime, a vinegar solution (equal parts vinegar and water) can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and steel wool, as these can damage the surfaces. Remember to rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spots.

Installation Kit + Handrail Clamp for Stair Line Posts includes a clamp specifically for stair run line post handrail installation. This clamp streamlines the process by helping you align stair run line post tops and handrails, saving time and reducing installation guesswork. Besides this clamp, everything else is the same in both bundles.

How many cuts can I make with this tool?

The Cable Cutter can make 300–500 cuts—more than enough for the average project.

How many crimps can I make with this tool?

While we cannot confidently rate the crimping tool, the Cable Crimper can make more crimps than the Cable Cutter can cut, so over the 300–500 range—more than enough for the average project.

Do I need to buy your installation kit?

While optional, we highly recommend purchasing the kit to simplify installation. Additionally, there are certain tools in the installation kit that are specific to our system and cannot be found at the hardware store. If you choose not to purchase an installation kit, you will need to source the proper installation tools, such as bits, drivers, taps, Allen keys, etc. Cable Bullet-specific tools can be purchased individually from our tools collection.

Are your installation kits interchangeable?

No, each installation kit is made for a particular system and is not interchangeable. If you have questions about which installation kit is right for your project, reach out! We would be happy to help.

What qualifies as a "coastal" application?

A "Coastal" environment is defined as installations subject to marine air, salt-laden fog, and indirect atmospheric salt exposure (e.g., balconies, decks, and exterior staircases), usually within 1 mile of a saltwater or brackish coast.
Even so, it is recommended to rinse your railing with fresh water following any indirect exposure to salt spray or contaminants.

Approved "Coastal" environments do NOT include direct salt or chlorinated water contact such as: immersion or spray (docks, piers, or railings extending into or directly above bodies of water), pool splash zones (installations within 10 feet of a saltwater or traditional chlorine swimming pools or hot tubs), or direct exposure (frequent splashing from storms, waves, or pool activities). Products installed in any of the environments listed above are not covered under our warranty.

"I chose Cable Bullet for price and what looked like a quality product. I got more than I expected with the high quality appearance. Installation was not particularly easy, mostly for the prep work I had to do to the mounting surfaces. I was particularly impressed with the base of the surface mounts in that I was able to make adjustments to the posts throughout the process which made up for surface imperfections of the decking. The most challenging aspect was mounting the top rail, since the "sockets" had to be exact, especially where there were two corners near each other. For the most part, a technician was available in "real time" to get me past a couple of challenges."

"I recently replaced a patio and retaining wall that needed a railing since there was a four foot drop. I wanted something sleek and unobtrusive.
