Great product exactly as described!

"Great product exactly as described!"

Good product

"I bought the cable spacer because I didn't want to get more hardware or attach more to. the deck. They are very low profile so they don't intrude and easy to use. The only downside is they do vibrate which is, of course, the reality of a non-anchored stabilizer."

Cable bullet spacer bars

"The quality is nice and I’m sure they would’ve looked great but I had to return them because I am using composite railing and need the intermediate baluster to tie into the top and bottomed rail for stability."

Eric Miller's review

"Very nice system! I really enjoy the look and the ability to see the landscape from our front porch. I was willing to splurge and buy this product for our front porch however because of how expensive the parts are I will not be purchasing any more of this product for our other two porches."

"These cable spacers were the best addition to our cable rail system. Does not allow cables to deflect and the thin profile does not visually get in the way when we are looking at the lake. Have already started recommending to other people looking to install cable systems."

Q&A

do i need to use the spacer bar when the run is less than 5 ft
Hi Abel! Generally speaking, we recommend having cable support every 48". However, a run of 5' should be fine without additional cable support. Just make sure that a 4" sphere can't pass through the cable spaces.
What is the difference between the floating and fixed? Is there a photo or diagram to show?
Hi Justin! Floating spacer bars attach to the top and bottom cable only—"floating" away from the top rail and the deck surface, while the fixed spacer bars includes a standoff to attach it to the underside of your top rail. The floating spacer bar is ideal for post spans of up to 7' while the fixed spacer bars can be used for longer spans as they draw on the top rail for more assistance in preventing cable deflection. The product photos of the bare wood posts show both the floating and fixed spacer bar options. Notice the difference between the top rail and the uppermost cable. I hope that helps clarify things! If you have any further questions about which spacer bar is a good fit for your project, our support team would be more than happy to take a look at your layout. what if I need a 14 hole spacer?
Hi Tom! Unfortunately, we only sell cable spacer bars to accommodate up to our 42" rail height (13-hole), which is a pretty common industry standard. Anything outside of that is considered custom. If you need something to keep your cables from deflecting we would recommend an intermediate post or, if you prefer a slimmer look, you could create your own spacer bar to your custom length.
Will this work with 3/16" cable?
Hi, Tom! Unfortunately, our spacer bars are made specifically for 5/32" cable, so 3/16 cable won't fit correctly.
Do you make a spacer bar for 1/8" cable
Hi David! We do not make a spacer bar for 1/8" cable. However, since they are designed to work with 5/32" cable, 1/8" cable will fit into them! The fit won't be as snug and the locking set screws won't get quite as much engagement, but it should still be able to function.
