Cleaning anodized components is easy.

Use a Neutral Cleaner: Use mild dish soap or detergent with a pH between 6 and 8. Avoid acidic or alkaline cleaners, as they can damage the anodized coating.

Test a Small Area First: Before full application, clean a small, inconspicuous spot to ensure the cleaner doesn't cause discoloration or damage.

Clean Thoroughly and Rinse: Use a soft sponge or non-scratch cloth to clean the surface, ensuring all areas are addressed to prevent contaminant buildup. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water to remove any residue.

The Type III anodized aluminum finish can last over 20 years, depending on environmental conditions and wear. Coastal and high-UV environments may accelerate wear compared to inland or interior applications.
Our anodized finish has been tested to the equivalent of 8 years of UV exposure with excellent color fastness to maintain its appearance.

Each kit includes one tensioner, one lobed washer, one crimp sleeve, and one set screw—everything you will need to secure one end of a single line of cable. Two kits are required per cable run. If you have a larger project, consider purchasing a pack of tensioner kits. This will save you money—providing you with extra bits and a Cable Bullet driver which is essential for installing.

The number of tensioners required will vary depending on the specifics of your project. You will need (1) tensioner at every anchoring point. For example, if you have a 15 ft. straight run with 10 lines of cable, you would need to purchase 20 tensioners. Our project support team can compile a list of all the tensioners and components you need, just fill out an estimate. If you have a larger project, consider purchasing a pack of tensioner kits. This will save you money—providing you with extra bits and a Cable Bullet which is essential for installing.

No, crimp sleeves are included with the tensioner kit, so there’s no need to purchase them separately. However, it is a good practice to include a Spare Parts Bundle in your order just in case you lose, or damage one of the sleeves. This kit also includes additional spare lobed washers and set screws.

Tensioners are compatible with 5/32” cable.
