Because of the post spacing, I needed 8 foot rail sections and the rail comes in 93" sections so I had to scrap 9'3" of rail to make my project-costing me an additional $150 that I felt I shouldn't have had to spend."

Hi! Is there any way to make the handrails meet at an angle (that’s not 90 degrees)? Such a juncture would occur over a post.

If your non-90º angle is horizontal (like a corner on a hexagonal deck, for example) we have an Adjustable Horizontal Corner Spline that works for any angle between 90–180º. I'm glad you mentioned the post, because this spline is not considered structural and will need to be supported by a post underneath. Hi, Sue! Our aluminum handrail measures 1.24"H x 1.92"W with a total perimeter of 6.1". We sell our handrail in 93" lengths—the maximum allowed by UPS without incurring oversize charges. The wall thickness measures 0.225". Hope that helps!
Have you created brackets to connect this handrail to a wood post? I have a 90 inch span between posts, will I need any additional supports between the wood posts?
Hi Brian! Yes, there are ways to attach our aluminum handrail to wooden posts. They may vary slightly depending on your specific circumstances. The most common solution is to use our post-side handrail brackets to span the handrail between the posts. For your 90” span, we would also recommend adding an intermediate post to support your handrail. Our Signature Series Intermediate Posts go perfectly with the aluminum handrail. I have existing posts that are spaced 101" apart. How would I create a rail for the size?
Hi James - Our handrail comes in 93" sections that piece together with concealed, internal splines. If your 101" section of railing is a level run, you'll need 2 handrail sticks and 1 [fixed straight spline](https://www.cablebullet.com/collections/signature-series-handrail/products/splines-for-reinforced-aluminum-handrail?variant=31059324993609). How thick is the metal on these rails? Is it thick enough to securely hold your Cable Rail Tensioner Kit if I were to use this as the top and bottom rails for a vertical cable application?
Hi Matthew - the reinforced aluminum handrail has 1/4" wall thickness, so hypothetically, it could work as the rails for vertical cable with Cable Bullet tensioners. However, it isn't necessarily designed for that type of application. The handrail has a slimmer profile and would start to bow under tension.
