"Solid block of aluminum! No movement in joint"

Straight fixed spline

"It seems when you join the 2 rails together with the spline in place, the rail will deflect towards the tapered side of the spline causing the rail to have a bend or not laying flat. How to eliminate this?"

Q&A

Can you use the fixed corner spline for a 90 degree turn into a wall for a handrail? What are the measurements of the fixed corner spline and can it be trimmed?
Yes, in certain situations 90-degree fixed splines can be used to turn into a wall. However, without knowing your exact project layout, I can’t guarantee that it will be the right solution for you. You may also need to use a handrail bracket on your wall surface for added support. The sales representative working on your estimate will always have the most relevant information. I would recommend talking with them. As for the dimensions, the arms of our fixed splines are 1.5” wide and approx. 0.735” tall. The inner length of the arms run 2.5” from the inner corner to the end, and the outer length runs 4” from the outer corner to the end. And yes, our fixed corner splines can be trimmed if needed. If you have any more questions, our sales team would be happy to help you! You can reach them by calling 574-742-2737 or by emailing info@cablebullet.com.
Do these fit inside a ⅛" x 1" x 2" AL. rectangle stock?
Hello, Shawn! Unfortunately, our splines are designed exclusively for our aluminum handrail (link below) and will not fit inside the dimensions you've listed. https://www.cablebullet.com/products/aluminum-handrail
